Selecting Your Photo

The higher the resolution, the sharper the image. So, for best results, choose a digital photo taken at the highest resolution your digital camera will allow. We recommend 1280 x 1024 pixels. Please check your camera’s manual for specifics about your camera.

It is best to send us photos directly from your camera or hard drive. Avoid sending us photos from a “photo album” website, which typically saves uploaded images at a low resolution for internet viewing.

Still in doubt? Email your photo to us before placing an order. We’ll let you know if it is good enough to print. Use the form here to send your pics.

And don’t worry! If you place an order with a photo that we think will not print well, we will contact you immediately and request an alternate photo be sent.

Yes. When you scan your color or black and white photograph, please set the resolution to 300 dpi (dots per inch), at 4 x 5 inches.

Yes. We create many PicPads using photos that are older than we are! If the photo is faded or damaged we strongly recommend choosing the “Frame Entire Photo” layout for your PicPad, as the image might not look well silhouetted.

Yes. We will convert your color photo to B&W and then make your pads. Please note, we cannot make color PicPads from a B&W photo.

Uploading or Sending Your Photo

  1. Make sure your photo is located on your computer’s hard drive.
  2. From the Create Your PicPads page, click the Browse button when ready to upload your photo.
  3. Locate your photo in your files on your hard drive, disk, or digital camera.
  4. Select the photo and then click OK to upload it.
  5. Allow 1-3 minutes for your photo to upload.
We accept digital photos in jpg, jpeg, gif, png, bmp, tif and psd file formats up to 30 MB in size.

Yes. Check the box “Image to be sent separately,” complete the Create PicPads process and then checkout. You will receive a PicPads “Order Confirmation” email.

Emailing your digital photo

Reply to the Order Confirmation email and attach your digital photo making sure to include your PicPads order number or use the form here to send your pics.

Mailing your color or black & white hard copy print to PicPads

We will be happy to scan your photo(s) and return them to you when your order ships. Please include a check made out to PicPads for $5 for each photo scanned. Kindly write your PicPads order number on the back of your color or black and white photograph so we can match it up with your online order. Print out the Order Confirmation email and enclose it with your print, and send both to:

Receiving Your PicPads

We ship all our products via the United States Post Office. You may choose Priority mail (1-4 days) or Express Mail (1-2 days) upon check out.
Production time is 10 business days. Allow additional time for shipping.
